Now that you’re all ready, let’s get started!

Pattern Notes:

  • This hat is crocheted from the top down. Meaning that you will start at the crown and work your way down to the brim.

  • The entire hat is crocheted in the round, including the brim.

  • The “first stitch” is the same stitch where your chain stitch at the start of the round was made.

  • You will be using slip stitches at the end of each round to join the round. Do not count these joining stitches as stitches.

  • You will also be using chain stitches at the beginning of each round, do not count these chain stitches as stitches either.

  • If you get stuck while working through this pattern make sure to read through all the notes and photos included.

  • This pattern uses abbreviations, these are noted in the glossary below.

  • If you’d like an easy to follow version of this pattern that you can mark your own notes on, you can purchase the pdf here.

I’ve linked to certain products within this pattern. If you click and then purchase one of the products, I will earn a small commission. The awesome thing is, the commission doesn’t come out of your pocket, it’s paid to me by a big company. I would never recommend a product to you unless I think it is valuable. Every item I recommend in this tutorial is something I personally use.
